I have decided that my word of the year is Delight! Delight as in please greatly! Rejoice, gladden, and enjoy! I have read and enjoyed many blogs in the past several years who have adopted a word of the year. I don't know why I have not considered adopting one myself until some of my Flying Sisters did. My Flying Sisters are a group of wonderful women who took a class together with me in the fall of 2012. The class was Flying Lessons by Kelly Rae Roberts. It was a wonderful class and it brought a group of more than 400 wonderful women together who are such a joy to me. They are always such an encouragement, support and Delight to me and I do Delight in them. So...because I think it is a great idea to have a word of the year I will take great Delight in having one as well.
This year I hope to Delight even more in the Lord. My scripture of the year is Psalm 37:4, "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." Pressing closer into Him is my highest priority. I also choose Delight in my husband, my family, my marriage, my home, my city, my days and every moment and part of my life. I plan on finding delight in the Creator, creation, and people all around me. I hope to bring Delight to others with encouragement, love and, generosity. I hope to point out and highlight the things and people that are a Delight if we will just see it. I also hope to have the satisfaction of Delight in growing my business and my blog this year. I hope to celebrate with Delight all of my finished projects at the end of the year. Yes, Delight! That is the word for me.
